Ehsan Ahmadi

​​I am an M.Sc. student in mechanical engineering at Sharif University of Technology. I am a part of Ali Meghdari's CEDRA group, which is mainly focused on social robotics. I am working on developing a socially assistive robot named Arash, which is aimed to be a companion robot for children with cancer. My role in this project was to develop and maintain all required ROS packages for operating the Arash robot. I am mainly focused on utilizing an augmented SLAM algorithm with a person-tracker module applicable to the navigation of our robot in populated environments. I have also worked on a painter robot project with Professor Gallina at the University of Trieste in Italy from April to September 2018. In this project, I have developed a novel optimized non-photorealistic rendering method for robotic painting.
